Some artists write songs about overcoming adversity. Chase Ingle lived it.
Born and raised in Alabama, Chase grew up first on 25th avenue in Bessemer then on a boys' ranch in Gadsden with a soundtrack that was anything but ordinary. His earliest musical influences came from three very different worlds: the storytelling of 90's country, the energy and swagger of 90's and 2000's hip-hop, and the timeless sound of classic rock. From artists filling the radio waves in small-town Alabama to rap records blasting through speakers, music became an escape and a source of inspiration long before Chase ever stepped onto a stage.
At just 12 years old, Chase's life took a dramatic turn when he was taken from his parents following their arrests and entered the foster care system. Forced to grow up quickly, he learned firsthand what it meant to fight through uncertainty, disappointment, and adversity.
But even in the hardest seasons, he never stopped dreaming.
At 19 years old, Chase packed everything he owned into his car and drove to Nashville, Tennessee, determined to build a better life and chase a dream that many considered impossible. Like countless dreamers before him, he worked long days in construction while trying to carve out a path in music.
Before fully embracing country music, Chase spent years immersed in the hip-hop world, writing, recording, and performing rap music. That influence remains a defining part of who he is as an artist today. It's why listeners often hear a unique rhythm, attitude, and lyrical style woven into his songs- something that sets him apart from traditional country artists.
The journey wasn't always smooth. Along the way, Chase found himself traveling down roads that led him away from his purpose.
While incarcerated in the Davidson County Jail, Chase enrolled in The Beat of Life, a songwriting and music mentorship program created to help inmates find hope through music. It was there, sitting inside a jail classroom with acclaimed Nashville songwriter Billy Dawson, that Chase discovered something he never knew he had.
Together, they wrote a song called "Breaking Bad" in just 60 minutes.
Not long afterward, Chase stood alongside fellow participants and performed the song live inside the Davidson County Jail- his first time ever performing original country music.
That day changed everything.
Then, in 2019, at 24 years old, Chase made another life-changing decision. He committed to leaving his past behind, rebuilding his life, and pursuing the future he had discovered through music.
When Chase was released, he refused to let the song remain behind bars. He became the first participant in The Beat of Life program to leave incarceration, professionally record, and commercially release the very song that had been written inside the jail. What began as a songwriting exercise became the first chapter of a music career that continues today.
He hasn't looked back since.
Today, Chase Ingle delivers a sound that blends modern country storytelling, classic rock grit, and subtle hip-hop influences into something uniquely his own. His music is built on real experiences- love, loss, redemption, faith, hard work, small-town values, and the relentless pursuit of a dream.
Every song tells part of the story.
The foster kid who refused to become a statistic.
The construction worker who kept believing.
The rapper who found his voice in country music.
The dreamer who packed his car and chased Nashville.
This isn't manufactured country music. It's real life, set to music.
This is Chase Ingle. This is Chasing Country.
